The Norwalk Public Library has two floors, both easily accessible by elevator or stairs.
The Adult and Teen/Young Adult departments are upstairs.
The Children's Room is downstairs.
Adult Department
The Adult department is upstairs. There are 20 open-use computers that have access to the internet and Microsoft Office. All are connected to full-service color and black and white copiers/printers. Traditional faxing is also available upstairs. The Adult department features fiction, nonfiction, audiobooks, graphic novels, reference, DVDs, CDs, and large print editions. Our microfilm machines and materials can be used by the public if they present a valid form of identification.
Our Adult department routinely hosts craft nights and presentations - check out the calendar for more information.
Teen/Young Adult Department
The Teen/Young Adult room features YA paperbacks, hardbacks, a large selection of manga, and graphic novels.
Our Teen department routinely hosts Afterschool Teen events for grades 6-12 - check out the calendar for the next date to participate in crafts, video games, and snacking.
Children's Department
The Children's Room is downstairs. There are two open-use computers with access to the internet, Microsoft Office, and a full-service printer. There are three bilingual children's computers that do not have internet access, but have many educational games. In this department, children will find chapter books, early readers, board books, picture books, audiobooks, and nonfiction. We also have a continually rotating selection of games, toys, puzzles, and playsets for the public's enjoyment while here at the library. If you'd like to take some toys home, take a look at our Little Sprout Backpacks - curated collections of books, related games and toys, and information for guardians. They can be checked out with any Clevnet library card.
The Children's department has weekly events for children ages 0-12. Take a look at our calendar for more information.
