INTRODUCING BOOKS TO YOU 2
The Norwalk Public Library is excited to officially launch Books To You 2, a completely free service available to local cardholders who are unable to visit the library in person. If you can’t get to us, we will send Books To You 2.
HOW IT WORKS
A qualifying patron can complete an application by calling 419-668-6063 or emailing bookstoyou2@norwalk.lib.oh.us. Once accepted, we order materials based on your preferences and send them directly to your home in a zippered bag through USPS. There is never a fee for patrons to sign up, receive, or return items.
ELIGIBILITY
Books To You 2 provides library materials to any local Norwalk Public Library cardholder who is unable to leave their home without assistance, whether due to a permanent or temporary condition.
Eligibility may be verified by a family doctor, home healthcare aide, health professional, or nurse. If you have questions about eligibility, be it for yourself or someone in your life, please reach out. We want to help.
WHAT YOU CAN BORROW
With a Norwalk Public Library card, you gain access to CLEVNET, a consortium of 47 library systems across Northeast Ohio. That means homebound cardholders will receive access to our collection and the collections of all participating libraries.
Books: Choose from fiction, nonfiction, large print, graphic novels, and books on CD.
Games: While we don’t carry video games, we can borrow them from other libraries. Prefer puzzles? We can send those from our puzzle cart.
Movies/Music: Order Blu-Rays or DVDs, TV series, and music CDs across various genres including Pop, Country, Jazz, and Classical.
Digital: For digital options, consider downloading the Hoopla app, which offers audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, movies, music, and TV shows. Additionally, discover a large selection of audiobooks, eBooks, and magazines on the Libby app. Both apps are free with your library card.
TALKING BOOKS
The Talking Books program is also available to homebound residents in Ohio. Managed by the Ohio Library for the Blind & Print Disabled, Talking Books administers audio and braille items to eligible borrowers in the state using postage-free mail. Contact us for more information.
We look forward to making your library experience as accessible as possible and sending Books To You 2.
